Romance

Volume 2 of the "Drinks" series.

Vio believes in clear rules.

No promises. No romantic disasters. No men who want to stay in the morning. Feelings are for other people—for those with softer edges and more faith in the universe. Vio prefers control, black eyeliner, her motorcycle, and nights that taste of gin, gasoline, and the skin of strangers.

Then an invitation arrives in the inbox of the event agency she runs with Lara (known from “Kaffee Schwarz. Whiskey pur.”).

A masquerade evening at an exclusive club. Velvet, darkness, champagne, glances behind gold and black. A night when no one has to be who they are by day. The women go because curiosity is sometimes stronger than reason. Because secrets taste better when they look dangerous. And because the man who touches them there throws them off balance faster than they’d like.

He remains anonymous. Just a voice, hands, and heat.

Until his identity changes everything.

And then there's Milo.

Milo, who keeps barging into her life with his strong arms, bright eyes, and tattoos. Milo, with whom everything is raw, direct, dirty, and far too good to be harmless. He makes her laugh when she really just wants to disappear. He knows her body, her excuses, and the places where she stops pretending to be strong.

Vio calls it freedom.

But eventually, even the most beautiful escape is no longer enough. Amid masks, desires, and all the things Vio forbids herself, something begins to grow that defies categorization. Not a traditional relationship. Not a fairy tale. Not a neat and tidy plan.

And Vio has to ask herself whether love is really always a cage. Or whether some people leave open the very door through which you can finally walk.
